Best Budget Gimbals
FLYCAM Redking
The FLYCAM Redking is the only gimbal on this list that doesn’t use a 3-axis stabilizer. Instead, it uses gravity to keep the camera steady and it does a pretty darn good job.
Personally, I wouldn’t use this because I’ve become very reliant on my gimbal’s stabilizer doing the heavy lifting.
This is by far the cheapest decent option though, so if you’re confident in your abilities to hold the camera steady and move slowly, perhaps this is the gimbal for you.
Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Solid footage if you move slow and steady enough
Cons:
- Difficult to use
- No 3-axis stabilization
FeiyuTech AK4000
A great option for the price, the FeiyuTech AK4000 can produce some great footage. It’s an excellent intro option for someone looking to start producing video on a budget.
It won’t produce the same quality results or have as good of features as the more expensive gimbals on this list, but it’s definitely a good value.
Pros:
- Affordable
- Produces solid quality footage
- Great Value
Cons:
- Long charging time
- Will need to upgrade eventually if you’re going to be shooting a lot of videos
Best Overall Gimbals
DJI Ronin-S
DJI is the premier name in gimbal technology and the DJI Ronin-S is, no surprise, an excellent gimbal. DJI also has incredible customer service which I’ve experienced personally as they have helped me several times with my DJI drones.
Besides being slightly heavy, this is an ideal gimbal for real estate video. It’s a great value as well at under $600.
Pros:
- Extremely smooth footage
- Premier DJI build quality and tech
- Breaks down easily
- Easy to transport
- Excellent DJI customer service
Cons:
- Heavy
Moza Air 2
I’ve used the Moza Air 2’s predecessor, the Moza Air, for the past 3 years and absolutely love it. Judging from the upgrades made on the Air 2, I’m guessing I’d love this gimbal even more.
I personally don’t shoot enough video to warrant an upgrade at the moment, but when I eventually do upgrade I will be looking at either this Moza Air 2, or the DJI Ronin-S above.
Pros:
- Extremely smooth footage
- Long 16-hour battery life
- Easy to use
- Great value for price
Cons:
- Only slightly less expensive than the DJI Ronin-S
DJI RS 2
DJI’s best gimbal, the DJI RS 2 is top quality across the board.
The build quality of the RS 2 is excellent and will last seemingly forever. The carbon fibre design makes it light weight and very sleek. If budget is not a barrier, this gimbal is the best overall.
Pros:
- Extremely smooth footage
- Light weight
- Excellent DJI customer service
- Best on-gimbal technology on the market
Cons:
- Most expensive on list
Best Mobile Gimbals
Zhiyun Smooth 4
Coming it at roughly $30 less expensive than the DJI OM 4 below, the Zhiyun Smooth 4 is a top quality mobile gimbal that is very comparable to the DJI version.
It will stabilize your devices extremely well and has some really great in app features.
Pros:
- Great app features
- Great stabilization
- Good value
Cons:
- Reports of slow customer service
DJI OM 4
The DJI OM 4 is probably the best mobile gimbal on the market.
Even though the Zhiyun Smooth 4 above offers nearly identical quality in terms of overall video performance, we think that DJI’s stellar customer support services are worth the extra $30
Pros:
- Top mobile gimbal on market
- Excellent DJI customer service
Cons:
- Slightly expensive
Recommendations
The Best Gimbal for Real Estate Video
If budget isn’t an issue, do yourself a favor and buy the DJI RS 2. You’ll get a top quality gimbal from the premier gimbal producer. However, if you’re like most of us and budget is a concern, then the DJI Ronin-S is the best option. It’ll produce exceptional quality footage and is a great value for the price.
If you absolutely can’t spend over $300, the FeiyuTech AK4000 is a good gimbal in it’s own right and can be more than serviceable. For a mobile drone, we think the extra $30 you’ll spend on the DJI OM 4 is well worth the excellent customer support.
