Creating competitive and easy to understand real estate photography packages is a great way to land more clients and keep them coming back. Below, you’ll find 3 examples of great ways to create perfect real estate photography packages.

3 Examples of Real Estate Photography Packages
There are 3 general models for real estate photography packages:
- Pricing by the square footage of the home
- Pricing per image
- Stacking services
Now, just to be clear, you can offer your services in any sort of real estate photography packages that you want. The most important part is to make sure that it’s easy for your client understand so they know exactly what they are purchasing.
Since simplicity is a good quality when putting real estate photography packages together, it’s best to start off using one of the three package types listed above. They’re very common amongst real estate photographers and extremely straight forward.

Square Footage Model
The square footage model is exactly what it sounds like, pricing by the square foot. This is an extremely common way to package real estate photography services. A standard square footage package would look something like this:
Under 2000 square feet ——— $120
2000 – 3000 square feet ——— $150
3000 – 4000 square feet ——— $200
4000 – 5000 square feet ——— $230
Over 5000 square feet ———– Call for a Quote
You can see why this is this is one of the most attractive models for real estate photography packages. It’s virtually impossible to be confused about and your client will know exactly what they are purchasing.
There are only two downsides to this model:
- You never know how exactly many photos you’ll be capturing prior to the job
- Some realtors will lie about the square footage of the home if it’s close to a smaller package price
In my opinion, both of these downsides aren’t really that major. While it’s true that when using this model you will be charging the same for 20 photos as you do for 30 photos sometimes, generally speaking square footage is a good measurement for how many photos a house will need.
When it comes to lying realtors, well, there just isn’t much you can do about it. You can check the square footage of the house yourself using Zillow or Realtor.com, but for the most part I’ve found that 95% of realtors will be honest with you.
Per Image Model
This is currently the model of real estate photography packages that I personally use. I’ve found that it works great for my market and allows for me to throw in free extra photos which my clients are always extremely grateful for.
A per image model will look something like this:
10 Photos ——— $125
20 Photos ——– $185
30 Photos ——– $235
40 Photos ——– $275
50 Photos ——– $325
I love this pricing model for a number of different reasons. When a new client hires me, they almost always choose the 20 photos package since it’s a good value price and they will get a solid idea of my work, turn around time, etc.
Inevitably, the house will need more than 20 photos. I always do a walk through with them and let them know that since it’s our first time working together I’m going to photograph the home how I normally would and include as many photos as it takes.
I’ll end up delivering 25 – 35 images to show them what the correct package size would be for that house, but only charge them for the 20 photos. They are always thrilled about this and always rehire me using a larger package size.
For my clients that have been working with me for years, I’ll always over deliver at least a photo or two. If they purchase 30 photos, I’ll capture a few extra exteriors and send them 32 images. This leads to a great professional relationship.
Stacked Services Model
The stacked services model is for anyone that is going to offer several services. While I do utilize the per image pricing model for all of the reasons listed above, I also use the stacked services model for all my other offerings.
If you’re going to offer drone photography, video services, 360/3D tour services, or anything else besides still photography, you’ll want to implement this model in some way. Here is a good example:
Photography
20 photos ——– $120
30 photos ——– $180
40 photos ——– $230
Drone
5 photos ——– $95
10 photos ——– $135
Video
1 minute video —– $175
2 minute video —– $265
Total Coverage Package
20 photos, 5 drone photos, 1 minute video —– $300
Now, this is just a rough example of how you can list all your services. Make sure it’s easy to understand with clear and short language. The best part about stacking services like this is that you can offer clients a larger package option.
Putting together something like the Total Coverage Package listed above is a great way to package together services for a higher price while also saving the client money. They’ll feel like they’re getting a great deal and you’ll have a much larger invoice.
