Understanding Our Real Estate Photography Pricing Calculator

Here at Professional Real Estate Photo, we do our absolute best to provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information on every aspect of the real estate photography industry. One of the questions that we get all the time is the age old question of “How much should I charge for real estate photography?”

The common answer that’s given is “it depends on your skill level and your market size” – and while that’s true, we thought that real estate photographers needed a better, more direct answer. It’s for this reason that we created the Real Estate Photography Pricing Calculator that you see below.

Now, with that being said, it’s still a good idea for you to give our article Easy Guide to Real Estate Photography Pricing a read as well. Use our real estate photography pricing calculator in tandem with a good understanding of the factors that are discussed in the article and you’ll be able to price your services accurately for your skill level and your market.

How to Use the Real Estate Photography Pricing Calculator

If you’re unsure about the amount of images you are going to deliver and would prefer to calculate the price by square foot, then simply use the guide below:

10 images = 1000sqft or less

20 images = 1000sqft to 2500sqft

30 images = 2500sqft to 4000sqft

40 images = 4000sqft to 5500sqft

50 images = 5500sqft to 7000sqft

60 images = 7000sqft or more

It’s important to accurately measure your skill level. It can be difficult to be self critical sometimes, but for the real estate photography pricing calculator to work properly, you must be honest with yourself about your skills in relation to the other real estate photographers in your market.

Regarding Market Size/Value, this is a measurement of the value that your market places on real estate photography. If you live in a very large city (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, etc.) or a highly valued market (Aspen Colorado, Outer Banks North Carolina, Jackson Wyoming, etc.) then choose “Large”. If you live in a very small or rural town, choose “Small”.

We included drone photography into our real estate photography pricing calculator as well since it’s becoming a standard offering for real estate photographers. This calculation is based on one ~20 minute flight and between 5 – 10 photos captured and delivered.

Most importantly though, use our real estate photography price calculator as a general guide rather than a definitive answer. Although we believe that the prices accurately show what real estate photography is worth for all accounted factors, your market may be slightly different. Above all, don’t undervalue yourself!
