Real Estate Photography Websites
There are a few things that great real estate photography websites all have in common:
- Most importantly, they do a great job of displaying the images.
- They are easy to navigate.
- They explain exactly what the photographer/company are trying to say to their prospective clients in easy to understand language.
The real estate photography websites that don’t do a good job of showcasing the images are big waste of time. The photography itself is whats going to really sell and impress the possible client. Your site can be simple, fast, and appealing, but if the images are blurry or not easily viewed, the whole reason for the website won’t be achieved.
Real estate photography websites that are easy for people to navigate are sure to be the best performing. Once your beautiful images are displayed, the client will want to see how to contact you, how to schedule a shoot, or may want to explore your site further. Good, properly placed menu features are key.
Finally, you’ll want clear language explaining your message. You’ll need easy to understand text throughout your entire site so there is no confusion. This will make the whole website experience a great one, generating more leads and more clients.

Matthew Digati

Full disclosure, I’ve included my own website in this list. I did this because I believe I’ve designed it in a way to hit all of the criteria I listed in the beginning of this article. You’re immediately greeted by a clear language message to possible clients and an easy to navigate menu that leads you to my specific portfolios.
Once you choose a portfolio to view, you’re brought to a screen featuring beautiful images that can be viewed in a grid or in a full frame. I built this site to be a pure portfolio site, rather than a sales heavy site that lists all my services. Image quality was my main concern and I think I found a great balance.
Great Real Estate Photography Websites All Share a Few Things in Common
Once you display your portfolio images in an eye catching way, you already have a real estate photography website that is going to help you land some clients. If you can tighten up a few things on your site and make it user friendly, you’ll have a sales machine.
I use my website as a portfolio to send people that I’ve already spoken with in some manner. I gain most of my clients by referral, so all I need to do is forward them a portfolio of my work as opposed to having to “sell” my services.
I’ve debated about adding a scheduling section or a more robust “Contact” page, but at the end of the day I enjoy working with my clients via text, emails, and phone calls. A scheduling feature would be essential to a company with multiple photographers and there are some excellent examples of those in the above links.
